It is an essential element of the circular mesh paper machine, comprising the mesh cage, mesh groove, couch roller, and vacuum suction tank. Here's how paper is formed: As pulp with a specific concentration enters the mesh slot, it contacts the rotating circular mesh. Fueled by the water level difference inside and outside the mesh, a filtration and dehydration process occurs, leading fibers to coalesce into wet paper on the web. This wet paper layer is then compressed by the drum covered by the rotating mesh, causing it to adhere to the blanket and be carried away, securing its formation.

The paper drying cylinder is a crucial apparatus in the paper-making process, facilitating the continuous drying of formed paper pulp. In a paper machine, a series of these cylinders are arranged horizontally. Each cylinder is a drum-type pressure vessel with rotational shafts at both ends. Steam is introduced for drying through a hollow shaft at one end, and a lifting bucket inside manages water, channeling condensed moisture to the opposite shaft for removal. Typically, the drying cylinder is crafted from polished cast iron, taking advantage of graphite flakes in the iron which aid in easy detachment of the paper from the cylinder surface, ensuring smooth drying without sticking.
